It's Been a While.....

Well, I haven't been very good at posting so far in 2009. The first 2 weeks of the year I was working like crazy. I pulled a lot of hours at the office, but it's back to normal now.

Last weekend our family came in from Arkansas for our last Christmas celebration of the season. Saturday morning I spent at the pediatrician's office with both girls, who both have...you guessed it....ear infections. Apparanyly the tube finally fell out of Madelyn's right ear and it was allready infected. we go back to the ENT yomorrow to find out what happened with Aubrey.

ANYWAY, that night we went to Nana's house for Christmas. Aubrey wasn't feeling well, but we had a great time overall and were able to get some cute pics....

I just have to brag for a moment about my husband. Basically, he woke up one day in mid-September and decided he wanted to run. So he ran some, then in early November ran his first race - an 8 miler. Then, only a month later he finished his first half-marathon. Only 2 days ago, he finished a 25k - that's right, 16 miles!!!

If you ask me, he's crazy!! But I couldn't be prouder......

Happy New Year.....

We had a pretty uneventful New Years Eve. New Years Day we were able to spend the whole day with family, which was nice!

Nana came over and we all went to the mall for a couple of hours just to get out of the house. Madelyn did so well at the mall that we let her ride the carousel and the train. I was really surprised that she got on the train, since she had to ride without an adult, but she had a blast!

God is good!!

We just left Aubrey's re-check appointment at the doctor, and I'm proud to say that for the first time in her young life she has been deemed perfectly healthy!! Praise the Lord! I was worried about her weight as she had lost a little, and has boycotted milk (she's now completely weaned from nursing and has NO interest in the bottle). But she's gained a full pound in the last week, and at 18 pounds 8 ounces is back up to the 20th percentile! The doctor said not to worry about the fact that I'm lucky if she drinks 3 small bottles a day. he said at 9 months he would tell me to cut back on the milk and focus more on the food, so she's ahead of the game!

She's been a noticeably happier baby since the tubes and her chest has cleared up. She loves playing with her new toys and even learned a new skill today - clapping her hands!!

The girls got lots of cute dresses, and I gave Clint a nice new camera for his birthday, so I'll probably be posting pictures of them every Sunday in their church attire.....
