Check ups

Well, we had the check up visits for both of the girls today. Aubrey hasn't had any diarrhea or fever since last week, but she still screams in the evening like something is hurting her. The doctor looked at her and said she looks perfect, but he thinks her digestive system may be under developed, so we're supposed to start giving her probiotics. She weighs in at 13 pounds even, and I think she was about 24 inches long. she's in the 50th percentile for height and weight, and 25th for head.

Madelyn weighed in at exactly double her sister, at 26 pounds even!! She also is 50th percentile for height and weight, and 25th for head. Hey, those small heads made for easy deliveries!! When going over the milestones, they asked me if Madelyn could say at least 20 words. I laughed out loud!! She says 20 words in a minute. Both of the girls look good and healthy - praise the Lord!!

We had a pretty busy but fun weekend. Friday night we just stayed home and relaxed. Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Newby house to plaay with Will and Reagan. Madelyn did much better this time and even shared some hugs with the kids (Thanks for the pics, Erin!!)

After playing, we went to Burger King to meet Aunt Kelly, Isabel, Ben and Colton for lunch. Then off to Nana's house and home for naps. Saturday afternoon we hung out at Mimi and Poppie's house where Aubrey sat in the walker for a minute or two.

Sunday morning was church, then home to nap. We spent too much time (and money) at the grocery store then came home and decided to rearrange furniture in our bedroom and living room. What a crazy weekend!!

A few weeks ago I promised to start posting recipes, but have been slacking. I'm finally focusing on the diet again, so i"m going to try to stick to that promise. Here's one that I've revamped into a WW friendly recipe that originally came from my friend Emily.

Ritz Chicken

1 can cream of celery soup (I use Fat Free)
1 can cream chicken soup (again, I use FF)
16 ounces sour cream (you guessed it, I use FF)
cooked chicken breast - now I usually use about 4 cooked breasts
salt and pepper

Combine everything in a casserole dish. Crush one sleeve of ritz crackers - I use the whole wheat variety. Melt enough butter to coat the crackers, and pour over casserole. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes, until bubbly. This is DELICIOUS!!

I have several pics to post, but for some reason i keep getting errors, so I'll have to try again later. Stay tuned...
