Destin Trip 2009

Last week we were in Destin with our dear friends Ray, Emily and Mason. We had an incredible time just hanging out and relaxing. Madelyn is at the perfect age for the beach. She loved getting in the ocean with Daddy and played in the sand for a long time. Aubrey was a different story. 48 hours before we left, she started running 104 fever. So Thursday I took her to the dr and found out she had a virus - go figure! So when we were in Florida she didn't sleep well and generally wasn't feeling up to par. She whined and cried a lot, which isn't much like her. Both girls were up late at night, and didn't sleep well so they really needed their naps! This meant a lot of time in the condo for Clint and me. Aubrey HATED the sand and refused to put a foot on it. Finally on Thursday, she relented and pl ayed for about an hour or so. Regardless, we had a WONDERFUL trip and are so thankful to the Thornburgs for inviting us. Here are a ton of pics....

Here's the crying face that was way too familiar last week!
Snot f

Aubrey and Mommy on the night we had pictures done. Clint snapped photos the same time the photographer was. Check out the curly hair! It loved the humidity....
Madelyn wasn't afraid at all of the ocean

I love this pic of Emily and Mason!

The girls and the babies on Emily's birthday! Happy 30th sweetie :)

This is quite possibly one of only a handful of family photos! This was taken on Emily's birthday outside of Harry T's.

Don't tell Aubrey, but she's touching the sand!

The girls loved hanging out with Ray in the condo!

More beautiful pics of Madelyn

The kids playing in the little pool we bought for Aubrey. The first few days she wouldn't even sit in it because IT was touching the sand!

On a side note, I went to the pulmonologist the day we left for our trip and had another CT scan done on my chest. I received the results today. The cyst in my right lung has not grown at all (YAY!). The mass on my trachea hasn't grown and it restricting less of my trachea than it was 2 years ago. Praise the Lord for this news! That means no surgery (at least no time soon)!!
