Update

Well, another doctor appointment today. No change from last week. The doctor told me that he wants to do an ultrasound next week because Aubrey is in a funny position. He said he thinks her head is down, but because of where she's positioned my cervix is crammed underneath my left side of my pelvis. I guess this is why I'm hurting so bad on my left side. Hopefully she'll move soon! He also went ahead and scheduled an induction on my due date - so she's definitely going to be here by the 14th - YAY!!

Madelyn's starting to get back to normal. She's still been pretty whiny and clingy this week, so I"m glad that each day she's returning a little more to her old self! Tonight she kept asking me for a diaper change, but I knew she was dry, so I asked her if she wanted to sit on the Big girl potty. She ran into the bathroom and after I sat her on the potty she peed!! I was so proud of my big girl!

Hope everyone has a good weekend...

Mason Ryan Thornburg

I'm happy to announce that Mason Ryan Thornburg was born yesterday at 5:40 pm!!!! He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. Both Mommy and Baby are doing great! Here are some pics of the little angel.....

I'm also happy to say that today was our first day in almost a week with no high fever or vomiting. As soon as Madelyn started to get over the fever, she started throwing up everything. But today she was actually able to eat a few bites of food and has kept them down. Hopefully we're finally over this mess. This is one of the only pics I was able to get in the Easter dress. Unfortunately she didn't want to cooperate with the camera - go figure!!

I'm definitely getting ready for Aubrey to be born!! I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions pretty much all day since Friday, which just makes me even more ready! Now that I'm technically full term, we're all ready to get the show on the road! Hopefully it will be soon.

Looking forward to a more normal week. Until next time.

Update

Well, last night wasn't a good one. I tried giving Madelyn some Motrin to get her fever down, and she immediately began throwing up. We were finally able to keep some down, but were up about every hour all night with high fever, crying and throwing up again. Today has been a little better, but her fever still reached 104.5 this afternoon. Pray we get over this soon.

I went to the doctor and was surprised when he told me I'm 1-2 cm dilated. SO that's good that my body seems to be starting the labor process. Of course, we need to get over all this mess before welcoming a new baby!! I also found out that my close friend EMily will be having her baby Saturday - YAY!!

I'll keep everyone posted....

What a week....

Well, the last week has been pretty busy! I had a lot of big deadlines at work last week, so I worked some late nights and didn't get to do much at home. Went to the doctor Thursday, and not dilated at all yet, which was what I expected. We'll get another update tomorrow, but I'm still not expecting anything to have happened.

I took a personal day off work today so that Clint, Madelyn and I could have a fun day before the baby comes. Of course, we had massive rain and cooler weather, so our original idea of going to the zoo didn't work out. We've been having some serious sleeping issues with Madelyn the last few days, but she was fine during the day so we thought nothing of it. Last night she started running about 101 fever, and again we just gave her some Tylenol and thought, "Oh well". This morning her fever was about the same, so I decided to go ahead and make a dr appointment for her - assuming it's probably ANOTHER sinus infection.

We decided to give her some Tylenol and still try to have some fun. we went to the mall this morning and let Madelyn play in the play area for about an hour - which she LOVED!! Then we strolled around and met Uncle Clay and Ben for lunch. By the time we got home, she was running about 101 fever again and wouldn't nap in her bed. I was holding her while she slept when I noticed about 2:30 that she was shivering. I checked her temp and it was almost 105. UGH!! So we went to the dr, and she has some sort of Adno infection?? basically she has a bunch of ulcers on her throat that hurt and are causing the fever. He tested for strep, but it came back negative. We almost wish it had been that because at least strep can be helped with medicine. So we're just waiting now for this virus to run its course. Luckily I'm pretty slow at work because the doctor told me she's highly contagious, so looks like I'll be staying home with her. Hopefully we can get over this and enjoy our Easter festivities this weekend!!

Until next time......

35 Weeks?!?!

I can't believe it, but I'm finally at the 35 week mark in this pregnancy!! In case you're wondering why this is a big deal, Madelyn came at 35 weeks and 3 days, so I've never made it past this point. So far everything seems to be going well. I'm definitely getting more uncomfortable, and I don't like this constant pressure I'm feeling extremely low. But these are all normal pregnancy feelings, so I can now sympathize with all my friends who made it further than I last time!! I go to the doctor Thursday when he will check me, but I'm not expecting any progress this early.
We've worked in the nursery and gotten it closer to being complete. I need to take some pics to show the progress. I like it a lot, but it's definitely much different that Madelyn's was!!
Other than that we haven't been doing much. We got some snow on Friday which was super fun!! Madelyn didn't seem too impressed, and only stayed in it for about 10 minutes, but I got some cute pics before we went in....

Saturday was a lazy day!! We hung around the house all morning and did a little cleaning. I had planned on running all these errands when madelyn laid down for her nap, but you can see how that went.....

Notice the extremely large 35 week belly - UGH!!

Saturday night Madelyn and I went to hang out with Aunt Kelly, Izzy, Colton and Ben. The girls had a blast as usual. They played dress up for a bit, then just ran after each other giggling.

I'm trying to get better about taking pictures, so i'm pretty proud of this post!! Anyway, I'll try to update after the dr on Thursday....
