I forgot......

I'm doing the Countrywood Garage Sale in a few weeks and am in need of tables and hanging clothes racks. If anyone has any I can borrow - PLEASE let me know!!

Dress Up

Seems like I haven't posted anything in forever, but there really hasn't been much going on. Madelyn started school and seems to really enjoy it. We're having a hard time adjusting to the early rising, but we're slowly getting there!! Madelyn has also had several potty accidents since starting school, but I think that's just a part of getting adjusted.

Her teacher has told us that Madelyn seems "very advanced" which every parent loves to hear! She said Madelyn counts really well (guess she gets that from her mom!!) and she gets things pretty well. She also has gymnastics on Tuesday afternoon after school, which of course she LOVES!!

Aubrey has been doing really well also. Her personality is really starting to show, and she's my little girly girl! Her first word was "shoe" and she talks about shoes ALL the time. The other day she was sitting in my closet looking around and saying, "shoe, shoe, shoe". She also carries anything she can like a purse, and loves playing dress up. Madelyn never seemed too interested in dressing up, but now they like to play it together. They are really better and better friends every day!! Here are a few pics from last night and tonight...

First Day of School

Well, Madelyn started her first day at Christ the King yesterday. She now goes to preschool Monday - Friday from 8-3!! She seems like such a big girl. Mommy no longer packs lunches or send a bag with her. She plays outside, does bible stories, circle time, Spanish classes weekly and chapel weekly. It sure makes her feel grown up!!

Destin Trip 2009

Last week we were in Destin with our dear friends Ray, Emily and Mason. We had an incredible time just hanging out and relaxing. Madelyn is at the perfect age for the beach. She loved getting in the ocean with Daddy and played in the sand for a long time. Aubrey was a different story. 48 hours before we left, she started running 104 fever. So Thursday I took her to the dr and found out she had a virus - go figure! So when we were in Florida she didn't sleep well and generally wasn't feeling up to par. She whined and cried a lot, which isn't much like her. Both girls were up late at night, and didn't sleep well so they really needed their naps! This meant a lot of time in the condo for Clint and me. Aubrey HATED the sand and refused to put a foot on it. Finally on Thursday, she relented and pl ayed for about an hour or so. Regardless, we had a WONDERFUL trip and are so thankful to the Thornburgs for inviting us. Here are a ton of pics....

The kids playing in the little pool we bought for Aubrey. The first few days she wouldn't even sit in it because IT was touching the sand!



On a side note, I went to the pulmonologist the day we left for our trip and had another CT scan done on my chest. I received the results today. The cyst in my right lung has not grown at all (YAY!). The mass on my trachea hasn't grown and it restricting less of my trachea than it was 2 years ago. Praise the Lord for this news! That means no surgery (at least no time soon)!!
